We hope everyone had a healthy, safe and happy holiday season. Our clubs took time to celebrate and enjoy as well, but now it's back to business as usual. For us that means starting up with regular meetings, practices and planning.
However, it is generally a slower time of year for us, as it likely is for most of the rest of you just trying to survive the lovely Western New York winter. So, the blog may not have as many entries as other times of year. Please don't stop checking for updates, though. We will always chime in if there is something important!
That said we do have one big event coming up next month, and it's one of the most popular events of the year: our annual Mardi Gras/Fasching/Karneval celebration. Members and non-members alike are welcome. See the calendar page for details.
Since it's January, we have started the planning process for our 2023 German Festival tentatively scheduled for August 11 and 12. That's right. The magic doesn't happen without months and months of behind the scenes preparation. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please reach out to us at rochesterfgas@gmail.com. We promise, we won't say, "no!"
Until next time, stay warm and try to enjoy the season (ski, snowshoe, snowmobile, ice fish or just bundle up on the couch under a fluffy warm blanket with a hot beverage of your choice!)
